Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per annum
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management and monitoring of the commercial KPI’s of the farm including but not limited to Market Returns, Cost of Production, reporting on monthly and quarterly budgeting reports to management.
- Heating resource management including planning, development and implementation of daily and weekly plans/actions.
- Management and monitoring of the greenhouse climate control and ventilation systems.
- Assessing and determining crop nutrition activities, including weekly and longer term nutrition strategies for all stages of the crop cycle.
- Responsible for pest and disease management including assessing, recommending and implementing weekly and longer term control strategies.
- Development of daily/weekly water resource management action/plans based on Crop requirements.
- Operational troubleshooting of water systems and equipment.
- Labour management and performance monitoring in conjunction with Assistant Growers and Supervisors.
- Leading / participating in projects to improve quality, safety, business unit performance and yield.
- Managing business expenses and cashflow on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensuring adherence to safety, quality and hygiene KPI’s, policies and procedures.
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification.
- A minimum 3-5 years growing and cropping experience.
- Reliable and motivated.
- Strong team work abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong Safety Awareness.
