Project Administrator

Salary range: $150,000 per annum

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Development

  • Undertake the development of renewable and storage projects and other hydrogen projects currently under development, and working with all relevant stakeholders, including:
    • Identify and negotiate with various levels of government, community/landowner representatives and development partners to gain general community acceptance of development and ensure successful project delivery outcomes.
    • Develop, document and review related contracts and variations of the end-to-end development process including but not limited to due diligence, negotiations, authority requirements, feasibilities, town planning, internal approvals and legal documentation.
    • Provide clarifications and act as the single point of contact between local councils, grid network applications, approval authorities, internal stakeholders and contractors to resolve any issues pertaining to contracting, program timeline, scope of service, budget and quality parameters.
    • Work closely with development team, consultants and other resources, ensuring appropriate project governance and risk management, budget and quality parameters and the timely review of projects to ensure project meets key criteria set by the company.
    • Assist and provide advice to senior management in business case development and feasibility assessments along with executing strategic initiatives set out by senior management.
    • Provide oversight and liaising with contractors on current work orders along with potential work variations in a timely manner.
    • Community and indigenous group engagement.
  • Assist in the selection of relevant EPC/construction contractors and working manage consultants.
    • Prepare draft EPC contract.
    • Provide clarifications regarding EPC contactor inquires.
    • Broker terms and agreements with EPC contractor terms.
    • Prepare the draft with project consultants.
    • Providing clarification regarding consultants’ inquiries.
  • Provide evaluation reports on tendering EPC contractors bidding, land selection and consultant selections for the board of directors.
  • Assist in all relevant contractors and consultants for design work, land preparation etc, to financial closure and commercial operation.
  • Assist in all relevant contractors to confirm project layout, site office and accommodation in compliance with local law and regulations.

Project implement

  • During the construction period, witness onsite project works and procurements.
  • Provide weekly reports about project timelines and schedules, along with any variations comparing to contracts.
  • Provide detailed notes and recommendations to contractors/consultants on project outcomes to ensure project stays on track.
  • Conduct data collection and dissection of projects during construction period for process review and improvements.

New Projects, Government policy, internal stakeholder management

  • Identify new projects which fit the development strategy and undertaking initial assessment.
  • Conduct ground site investigations and work to secure land, connection, development approvals for batteries and other energy assets.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape and activities of competitors. Identifying potential collaboration opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and understanding the relevant and potential policy landscape.
  • Undertake presentations and other reporting requirements to internal stakeholders, including to Board level, to provide updates and seeking approvals as required. Councils, government, to ensure compliance with permits required during construction.

Essentials:

  • 2- 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • A degree or qualification in a relevant discipline
  • A strong interest in the transition to renewable energy and in learning the relevant skills required to make a practical contribution to the future of the industry
  • Ability to talk to a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and possess commercial acumen.
  • Experience in understanding complex problems and able to design innovative solutions;
