Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per annum
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as per the repair order requirements.
- Advise Workshop Controller if additional work is required or if specific work on the repair order is unnecessary. When the repairs are completed, the vehicle is to be road tested by the Workshop Manager or nominated Leading Hands and the repair order signed off to indicate that the repairs are satisfactory.
- Plan each job for maximum efficiency. Order parts (where necessary) from Parts and Accessories Department immediately.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of all Auto Masters products and services .
- Request assistance from the Workshop Manager when diagnosis of problem jobs is required .
- Follow correct procedures when carrying out warranty work and ensure all warranty parts aretagged with the correct information and placed in warranty storage. All owner parts to be in plastic protective bags and left in owners vehicle where practical.
- Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return to correct place after use.
- Correctly complete all works as per Standard Repair Times Guide .
- Record details clearly and precisely on warranty tags and repair orders so that the Workshop
- Manager, Controller, Warranty Clerk or Service Advisor can read details in order to finalise costing and explain repairs to customer.
- Legibly complete all paperwork correctly with all details regarding works carried out and/or parts ordered.
- Return vehicles in a clean condition after repairs .
- Maintain familiarity with and follow Auto Masters procedures when obtaining or ordering parts.
- Suggest training and tooling needs to the Workshop Manager.
- Keep a complete and up-to-date tool kit.
- Maintain workbench and work bay area in a clean, orderly condition.
Essentials:
- Mimimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Good communication skills .
- Able to work with hand tools .
- Perform quality work assigned within standard or allocated time in accordance with company standards.
- Physically able to perform the requirements and responsibilities relevant to your position .
