Boilermaker/Welder

Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per annum

First incorporated as a company in 1981 and shortly after this time the new head office complex in Adelaide (South Australia) was built. Since then the company has expanded considerably with offices throughout the country. The company sells and supports and range of mobile and crawler cranes, offshore cranes, tower cranes, deep foundation machines, earthmoving and mining equipment.

About the role:

The Boilermaker / Welder is responsible for the provision of; safe, efficient and compliant fabrication and repair services to the Mining Division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide fabrication and repair services including but not limited to:
    • Welding
    • Chamfering heavy plate
    • Assembly of large components
    • Grinding and clean-up of jobs
    • Arc air gouging
    • Overhead crane use, forklift and EWP
    • Operating plant and mobile equipment
    • Carry out checks on equipment
    • Undertake housekeeping and housekeeping inspections.
    • Accurate completion of documentation
  • Active involvement in the continuous improvement of the production and fabrication process
  • Manage flow of work to ensure other areas of Production are not adversely affected
  • Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.

Essentials:

  • Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Able to work in remote locations and under adverse conditions

Desirable:

  • Mining industry experience
  • Mining equipment experience
  • High Risk Licenses; LF, DG, EWP
  • Working at Heights certificate
