Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning and designing auditing projects and necessary tasks to be completed.
- Completing audit engagements to review, ensuring jobs are completed effectively and within budget.
- Assigning roles to various members of the auditing team.
- Ensuring standards of quality and accuracy are maintained in audits and other financial reports.
- Meeting with management and stakeholders to discuss findings and audit outcomes.
- Communicate with clients to develop a detailed understanding of their business and identify key risk areas.
- Developing strategies for junior auditors to improve their work outputs.
- Assisting clients with the preparation of general-purpose financial reports and applying International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Understanding client accounting systems and providing recommendations for improvements in controls and efficiencies.
- Analysis of client financial reports to identify key risk areas.
- Overseeing staff and acting as a middle-man for team needs and requirements.
- Assisting in the auditing process as and when required.
- Submitting audits and reports in a timely manner for review by the audit partner.
- Assist in preparing business reports and management letters for clients to highlight key issues and recommended actions.
- Remaining up to date with developments in relevant legislation.
- Reporting auditing issues and assisting in resolving them.
- Participate in industry and business activities external to the firm, raising the brand profile.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or commerce
- CA / CPA certification or working toward
- At least 3 years’ experience as an auditor at a public practice firm, with a working knowledge of different accounting software.
- Detailed knowledge of international auditing standards (ISA) and International Accounting Standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of project and team management principles.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
